Where is the E-Cat?

A military customer is coming out, Andrea Rossi's former partner Defkalion promotes its own version of Rossi's E-Cat, and an Italian phisycian offers (through the pages of Focus) to lead a scientific test of Rossi's generator... here everything that is going on with E-Cat after the Oct 28th test, Francesco Celani's proposal and Rossi's reply.

Andrea Rossi invented the E-Cat, a cold fusion heating device - and official science doesn't acknowledge cold fusion as anything else than a delusion. Since the beginning of 2011, when Rossi introduced his invention to the world, he's been in the middle of endless arguments, because, in order to protect it, he keeps the design secret and doesn't allow any ultimate and untouchable scientific test. At the end of October the 1MW power plant (made of 108 single E-Cat units) became operative for a few hours, a "secret customer"'s benefit performance. The secret customer was satisfied and, at the end of the test, Rossi claimed the plant to be sold.

WHO IS THE CUSTOMER?

Customer's spokesman, Domenico Fioravanti, retired colonel of the Genio, doesn't tell anything that would be revealing of its identity, but is Rossi himself who gives Focus something more: «We are building a 130 MW thermal plant, made of 13 plant such as the one you saw on October 28th: but it's a military research and I can't reveal any further detail, not the name, nor the place, nor the nationality of the customer». [N.d.R. attention - Mats Lewan (NyTeknik) pointed out that 13 generators, each one of 1 MW, are not a 130 MW plant... Right, I apologize to readers: once I have clarified the issue with Rossi will correct the information. - Andrea Rossi's answer: «It will be a 13 MW thermal power plant, consisting of 13 "1MW Energy Catalyzer" like the one in operation in Bologna on October 28».]

THE ARMY WILL THEN BE THE OWNER OF THE E-CAT THEN? «No! Absolutely not! This customer doesn't have sole right.»

WHAT ABOUT THE RUMORS OF DEFKALION'S RETURN? «I saw the papers about Hyperion published on their website [see Defkalion document]. We haven't got in touch with the Greeks lately... we don't want to have anything to do with them anymore, no matter what.»

THE PROPOSAL FOR A NEW TEST

From our pages Francesco Celani asks Rossi to end the pointless arguments and the uncertainty with a strict test, which he offers to lead, standing surety for the intellctual property himself, keeping the industrial secret that, thanks to Rossi, seems to have make cold fusion come true. Celani suggests to end all discussions now, and not to wait for Università di Bologna's analysis, announced but not yet confirmed. In the following pages you can read Celani's proposal and Rossi's reply, both in Italian and English.

Francesco Celani, "First Researcher" at Laboratori Nazionali of Frascati (INFN-LNF), is also vice-president of International Society of Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS), an internazional institution born in 2003 on voluntary base, that gathers scientists from all over the world who carry on researches on low energy nuclear reactions (LENR) and on condensed matter physics - which is to say the interactions among a number of atoms through their own crystal lattice.

LENR and CMNS gather together the whole set of phenomena going under the name of "cold fusion". Francesco Celani has been researching this field since 1989 and worked together with scientists such as Giuliano Preparata (theorist of condensed matter physics), Emilio Del Giudice, Martin Fleischmann (who fathered cold fusions with Stanley Pons), Steven Jones (Fleischmann and Pons' competitor), Yoshiaki Arata (who started studying the so-called Solid State Nuclear Fusion in 1958), Akito Takahashi, Yasuhiro Iwamura.
